Introduction
This programme is specially designed to cater for the needs of the tourism industry and interested public to acquire skills in identifying the Bornean biodiversity and their functions. The programme emphasizes on the narrative of natural science knowledge which is crucial in attracting local and foreign tourists especially the Bio knowledgeable vacationers. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be granted a Professional & Executive Programme in Biodiversity Tourism (Level 4). The Programme offers 12 modules consisting of Nature-based Recreation and Ecotourism, Plant Systematics, Tropical Ecology, Fungi, Aquatic Invertebrates, Aquatic Vertebrates, Terrestrial Invertebrates (Gastropods and Insects), Cold Blooded Terrestrial Vertebrates (Amphibian and Reptiles), Warm Blooded Terrestrial Vertebrates (Mammals and Aves), Biodiversity Identification Technique, Wildlife Photography, and Evolution: Walking the Wallace Trail in Borneo.
